Course overview: The content and format of the Russian language training course will depend on your professional objectives and proficiency in Russian. Whether beginners or advanced, key areas covered in all of our Russian courses include: dealing with everyday situations, spoken fluency, listening skills, pronunciation and accent, reading skills, telephone skills in Russian, and many more.
Course aim: This course is aimed for young students from 18 to 28 years of age, although the age limit is not strict.
Teaching methods: On the spot language course, organised in small groups, with an average number of 5 participants (maximum 8 participants in a group). The lectures are given by using the communicative method, with the newest techniques in language teaching, using original student books of the world’s leading publishers.
Course material: A combination of relevant up-to-date materials such as books, authentic documents, audio and video recordings, with recommended self-study materials and extra reading made at the beginning and throughout the duration of your respective course.
Prerequisits for participation: Basic knowledge of Russian for lower levels and intermediate knowledge for higher levels. Participants are required to take a placement test before being offered a place on the course.
You will learn: To speak Russian with confidence, interact more confidently when visiting Russian-speaking regions or dealing with Russian speakers, build rapport and strengthen relationships with Russian-speaking colleagues and clients by showing your interest in the Russian language and culture, demonstrate goodwill and facilitate international communication at both a personal and organizational level.
Course activities: Dialogues, multimedia, video, essay writing, dictations, translation and final test.
Prospects upon course completion: Russian is the most widely spoken Slavonic language and is the national language of 150 million people. Speaking Russian could open up many business opportunities, as well as giving you access to the rich cultural heritage of the Russian people and its neighbouring countries.
