Course overview: The course is aligned with the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR), which provides a basis for the recognition of language qualifications, thus facilitating educational and occupational mobility.
Course target: Students aged 18-28 (no strict age limit).
Teaching methods: On the spot language course, with 5-8 participants per group! The lectures are instructed by using the communicative method, with the newest techniques in language teaching.
Course material: Use of world-renowned course books such as Espresso, along with Audio Visual Support.
Prerequisits for participation: Basic knowledge of Italian for lower levels and intermediate knowledge for higher ones. A placement test is mandatory for all participants prior to the beginning of a course.
You will learn: To communicate effectively in Italian, develop or improve in all four language skills: reading, listening, speaking and writing. A special emphasis is put on academic writing, which is absolutely necessary for young and ambitious people eager to pursue academic degrees in the Italian language.
Course activities: Live conversation, debates, essay writing, dictation, translation, dialogues and exercises, intended to improve your vocabulary and grammar.
Final test: To be taken by all participants upon finishing the course.
Course prospects: The Basic level course helps participants use Italian in everyday situations, and advanced level enables participants to use Italian in an academic environment, as well as to pass some of the General Italian language tests required for studying in the Italian language.
