Course overview: The course is aligned with the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages, which provides a basis for the recognition of language qualifications, thus facilitating educational and occupational mobility.
Course aim:This course is aimed for young students from 18 to 28 years of age. The age limit is not strict.
Teaching methods: On the spot language course, organised in small groups, with an average number of 5 participants (maximum 8 participants in a group). The lectures are given by using the communicative method, with the newest techniques in language teaching, using original student books of the world’s leading publishers.
Course material: Klett, Hüber.
Prerequisits for participation: Basic course is created for beginners, whereas advanced course participants are required to take a placement test before being offered a place on the course.
You will learn: You will get the opportunity to equally develop all the language skills: reading, listening, speaking and writing, with an emphasis on academic writing on your respective level, which is necessary for young and ambitious people who are eager to continue their academic education in the German language in the near or distant future.
Course activities: Dialogues, multimedia, video, essay writing, dictations, translation and final test.
Prospects upon course completion: The Basic level course helps participants use German in everyday situations, and advanced level enables participants to use German in an academic environment, as well as to pass some of the General German language tests required for studying in the German language.
